Leader delayed due to Financial problems
According to sources in Film Nagar, Rana's debut movie Leader has costed over 17 crores. Initially when AVM planned to produce this movie, the budget for the movie was 12 crores but later the budget has shot up by 5 crores. It is heard that the movie doesnt have the potential to recover 17 crores as Shekar Kammula is a class director and Rana is a new comer. Though AVM is a big banner, they feel that it doesnot make any business sense to release a movie with loss. AVM definitely feels that Suresh Productions also should share the responsibility of the release of the movie and AVM is expecting RANA to return back the remuneration of One crore which he charged for this movie. Hope all the issues get sorted out soon so that we can enjoy a clean entertainer from Shekar Kammula soon
Trivikram Srinivas-back as story n dilalogue writer for Vijayabhaskar?
Anjaneyulu producer Ganesh Babu is producing a film with Pawan Kalyan after the release of Puli, co-starring Nikesha Patel and K. Vijaya Bhaskar will be directing it. But the icing on the cake is that the story and the dialogues will be written by Trivikram Srinivas. The writer-director duo had worked together for many films like Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav, Manmadhudu and Jai Chiranjeeva.
Trivikram Srinivas had earlier directed Pawan Kalyan in Jalsa.

RGV-AMITABH's RANN review
Rann is a niche movie made on the nexus of media and politicians. It shows us how media which supposed to guard truth is becoming a medium for politicians to doctor the minds of viewers/voters. The movie belongs to Amitab Bachchan in the first half and in the last 20 minutes. Most of the second half belongs to Ritesh. Only flaw in the movie is about how Amitabh blindly trusts his son. Rann might not be a film for everybody, but it is RGV’s best movie since Company. Watch Rann for the performances and the intensity.

Nikhil and Shweta Basu starrer ‘Kalavar King’ is currently in the final stages of its post production. The exact date of film’s release has not been confirmed, however the latest news is that ‘Kalavar King’ might release in the first half of February. L.Suresh is directing this film. Dammulapati Srinivas Rao and M.Chandrasekhar Rao are producing it under ‘Sri Dhanalaxmi Productions’ banner. The producers of the film said that the film will be a full length entertainer. The film is about a happy-go-lucky hero keeps on teasing the heroine and how one incident changes their lives. Ajay, Ali, Venu Madhav and other are playing other roles. Anil is composing the music. Pavan's PULI in hyderabad
Pawan Kalyan, SJ Suryah and team are currently shooting for their film Puli in Hyderabad. The talkie portion of the film was shot in cities like Mumbai and Chennai and US. For intro scenes, the team has chosen the City of Nizams. It is learnt that the unit will proceed to shoot for some songs after the schedule in the capital city.
Directed by SJ Suryah of Khushi and Vaali fame, the film has music by AR Rehman. Nikhisha Patel is playing the female lead opposite Pawan. Binodh Pradan of Bollywood is wielding the camera. Made with high technical values, it is produced by Singanamala Naidu.
The Power Star is playing a cop in Puli, who heads a team out to hunt down the terrorists. According to gossip mills, Pawan whizzes off to New York in the film, to work in association with the world-famous Inter Pol that has intelligence of the whereabouts of terrorists.
Touted to be a dream project of SJ, who first narrated the script to Tamil superstar Vijay, the film has been in the making for 2 years now. It was announced before the release of Pawan's last film Jalsa, which released in February 2008.

Tolly2Holly Films, which recently made Pravarakhyudu with Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani in the leads, has signed up a film with Ravi Teja. The film will soon go on the floors, as the makers say that the subject is ready. A bound script has been commenced.
Details of the other important star cast and technicians hasn't yet been announced. However, the makers are saying that an announcement will soon be made.
This is viewed as a prestigious film by Tolly2Holly especially because, after Pravarakhyudu's average success at the box office, they have pinned hopes on Ravi Teja, who can attract youth audiences to the theatres.

I am fed doing repeatedly the same kind of roles. That’s why I am not accepting any new offers with same kind of roles.
In the mean time, I start writing a story for my film. I am planning to make a film with my story. First, I learn how to become a good producer and then I take charge as a director of the film. I think, it won’t take much time to become a film producer, but very difficult to become a director. Once, my story is ready, and then I will decide when to start my film shooting. I am writing the film story during my journeys to save the time. Hope, it may be finished very soon.”

Siddharth’s ‘Stiker’ releasing in Telugu on Feb. 5
Siddharth’s latest Hindi film ‘Striker’ is going to be released in Telugu. The film will have a simultaneous release in Hindi and Telugu on Feb 5th. Chandan Arora has directed this film. Indira Films banner is presenting and dubbing the film in Telugu. The film is based in Mumbai in the 80’s and it’s based on a young guy who lives in slums but goes on to become a caroms champion. Interestingly, Siddharth has also sung a song in the film. This is his second Hindi film after ‘Rang de Basanthi’ which was a major box office hit few years ago. Padma Priya and Vidya Malvade are acting in this film along with Anupam Kher, Seema Biswas and others. Five music directors, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vishal Bharadwaj, Swanand, Shailendra Kumar, Amit Trivedi and Blazee have composed music for the film.

ANUSHKA's "PANCHAKSHARI"
Logo of Anushka’s latest movie Panchakshari was unveiled by Anushka at a press meet held today at Annapurna studios. This film is directed by Samudra and produced by Chandra (Bommadevara Rama Chandra Rao) – personal make-up artist of Nagarjuna. Nagarjuna presents this movie. This meet was attended by Anushka, Nassar, Chandra Mohan, Ravi Prakash, cameraman Vasu, story writer Madhu Vipparthi, dialogue writer Thota Prasad, dance master Shiva Shankar and producer Chandra.
Director Samudra said, “Chandra worked as make-up man in Annapurna studios for 35 years. I met him during the shooting of Siva Rama Raju film and he asked me if I could direct his first movie and I said yes. That project is materialised as Panchakshari. Though he is a make-up man by profession, he has command over all the departments.”

Reliance Movies USA has acquired the overseas theatrical and home video/DVD rights of Karunakaran’s DARLING movie starring Prabhas, and cutie pie Kajal Agarwal.
Darling is a huge budget romantic-action-comedy entertainer and is being directed by renowned Karunakaran. Darling has Prabhas in a unique role where the actor’s comic timing is being used to the advantage of the film. Given Karunakaran’s exceptional ability to handle good scripts this film will definitely be a good hit will all genre. He has successfully delivered super hits like Tholi Prema, Balu, Happy, and Ullasanga Utsahanga. He has the magical ability to mix subtle emotions with comedy via extraordinary screenplay.
